Summer Programmes at the Irish Institute for Pastoral Studies:

Godly Play:  GODLY_PLAY_2019_Brochure

Are you looking to attend Godly Play training in Ireland this year, or do you know anyone who might be interested? There’s a Core Training course happening in Thurles in July.

Venue: The Irish Institute for Pastoral Studies, St. Patrick’s Campus, Cathedral Street, Thurles.

Dates: Monday – Wednesday, 8 -10 July 2019

Cost: €430 Residential (including full board) or €330 non-residential (including lunch)

Facilitators: Cora O’Farrell and Sarah Voigt

This is a certificated course offered by accredited members of the College of Trainers of Godly Play

Also the  Core Training in Godly Play offered in Thurles on 3-5 July has been approved as part of a Blended Learning Summer Course for CPD. Teachers wishing to avail of the EPV days will need to complete two online modules in addition to the on-site training.

Training for Transformation: TRAINING_FOR_Transformation_2019_Brochure

The week-long programme entitled Training for Transformation will be particularly helpful for parishes and dioceses who wish to train personnel who can assist in responding to the needs of the faith community. Parish and diocesan pastoral councils, ministry groups, pastoral workers and catechists will have a particular interest in this programme as its primary focus is on pastoral development (A group from the diocese, parish or pastoral unit who could bring back and apply key learnings). There will be a particular focus on group skills, team development and discerning and responding to needs in the community. The methodology used throughout the week involves learning through group practice and peer feedback.

Training for Transformation runs from Monday 8 July to Friday 12 July, 2019 (Arrival at 9.30am on Monday 8 July (Registration) and Departure at 4.30pm on Friday 12 July) The residential cost (full-board) is €600 and non-residential (including lunch) is €350.
